"Entry level blower" goes 10's!
I went out to the track today for a shot at the cool weather, and my boss got his Windsor car together so we were making some shakedown passes with his new motor.
I put on a new belt, then lined up. I launched decent, but noticed only 5psi on the gauge, and then the boost started to fall off. I let off early and ran 11.4@112. The belt stretched, so I re-tightened it, and got back in line. I get up to the line and the starting line guy asks me how fast my last pass was. I said 11.4. He then said "make one more 11 second pass, and you're outta here" I say "O.K." I leave decent again with just enough wheelspin to keep the engine from bogging, and run cleanly right to the end, showing 8 psi all the way. I go to the ET shack, and they won't give me my slip, and said they can't give it to me. REAL NICE!!!!! A light bulb turned on over my head, and I asked the guy I ran against if they still printed it on his slip. They did. 10.98@128!!!!!!! I am finally in the club.

Congrats! I can only say one thing and that is you definitely earned that 1st 10-sec timeslip (and at 128mph no less). Have you had the car dyno-tuned with the blower lately? If so, what hp/tq. are you putting down?
I read in another post that you switched over to a C4. What's that like driving on the street? Again, kudos to the 10.98

Thats GREAT!!!!!! I know you have been trying so hard for a 10 and finally got one. Why wouldn't they give you your timeslip??
you could have messed with them and tell them that you didn't run an 11 that time!

It sucks to get kicked off the track, (2nd track so far..) but rules are rules. I should have the cage, jacket, and harnesses. About the C4, I like driving it on the street. Leaning on the converter gives you a really different sensation then driving a stick. The car feels slower because it's not jumping all over between gears, but half throttling it down low will keep the engine around 3500-4000, while the car accelerates like crazy until the converter starts to lock up. What sucks is having no overdrive. 2600 RPM on the E-way is like 55 mph.
I am stuck in the far right lane, getting flipped off by even the blue hairs!

Awesome job, man! That 'little' Novi is sure making the power. 128 shows alot of power in your combo.
I bet you're on cloud nine. Now you've got the winter to get up to spec and get deeper into the 10's next year. Congrats. E

Congratulations, I can't even imagine what it feels like to ride in a 10 second car! Do you still have the "12SECGT" plates on it?

Hey Rob congrats!!
That was a long time coming, you should be proud! What track did you get kicked out of this time? I'm thinking with a 128 mph Lapeer?

10's without a cage!? That's F'n crazy! It's a good thing you went to the c4 because good luck keeping that much power going straight with a stick shift car and no cage. Do us a favor and get the cage, we don't want to read about how a 10 second wreck without a cage turns out.
