Pictures of my (custom) shiftknob!
Hi,
My dad (the machinist) finally made the knob. It's a 4" tall and 1.5" thick slug! It feels real good to shift with. I took a few pics using my (cheesy) webcam, but you can see what it looks like. Seeing how it gets real cold (it's a solid aluminum piece, with a steel thread piece), I found a foam/rubber material from a mini gardening shovel handle and it fit perfectly (and it's got a good grip too). I'm gonna find a way to get it painted yellow real soon. Here's the URL (warning, about 5 pictures, each about 55KB) : http://www.cubicdesign.com/mustang/shiftknob.html Bye! ------------------ Gautam N. Yeah, it's custom all right... not to sound bad or anything, but, how closely did you look at those pics man? This is a G rated site.

Hi,
Haha, I figured some of you with sick minds would say something dirty! When my dad showed it to me, that's what popped into my head. I didn't realize how vulgar those pics were until I saw them. The rubber cover added to its vulgarity. Oh well, the shifter looks a bit better in the car. Hopefully these dirty thoughts won't be in my head when I'm driving! Hmm...I better take those pics off soon, cuz I had no idea what some of you might think. I think the way I'm 'holding' the knob makes it look a bit sick/disturbing. Ok, the pics are coming down! If ya wanna see them, you'll have to ask me! You don't realize how humilated I feel with those stupid pictures! Bye! ------------------ Gautam N. If it won't shift right do you just stroke it a little? Sorry, just had to ask. Have you had your girlfriend in the car yet? What does she think? I bet she likes it a lot better than the T handle you had. ;-) LOL Sorry to give you so much crap man. You have to admit that thing is funny.
