Question PLEASE HELP! IMPORTANT...

My mom has a new 2001 Focus. It has broken down 5 times now with the same problem. The ford dealer keeps replacing the fuel pumps (5th time today) and she went to go pick it up from the dealer (today) and it wont start again to even bring it home.

Does anyone know of any solutions to this problem? All they think of doing is changing the fuel pumps, I mean they are going on their 6th one today. My poor mom is stranded half the time and that downright sucks.

I told her lemon law it. Can you guys/girls please offer some help. We dont know what else to do now? I know how to do the lemon law thing, i just need help if there is something mechanically the ford dealer could be missing.

Thanks for any help whatsoever...

It's too new a car to concern yourself with issues like that. Have her exchange it for a car that works. Let the dealer deal with the headaches of making it work on their own time. A car that fails to start is a hazard and there is absolutely no reason why your mom should be at risk.

Cindy, best bet is to go lemon law. 5 times with the same thing is more than enough! florida lemon law says at least 3 time and hers has been 5 times. all they can "think" of doing is change the fuel pump??

I couldnt agree with you guys more. She sent away from the lemon law paperwork and started up a case. I think that is the best thing to do now. They are such jerks there to her.
