Do you ever notice?
When a new female member joins there are hundreds of views to her post saying "hello" and a ton of "Welcome to MW!" replies. But, when a guy joins, there isn't quite the same activity in his "Hello, I'm a newbie" thread.
Seeing Rustang's thread just made me think of this. I completely understand it, but it is kind of funny. Heck, what one of us guys wouldn't want to meet a cool female who loves Mustang !

Maybe did you consider that we're all gentleman and like to all greet a ladie in the proper warm welcoming she deserves. lol hehehe.... That's a excellent comeback excuse. hehehe... I think I'll stick to that one. lol Car woman are hard to find, Mustang woman even harder so it's always great to have the opposite sex participate in a activity mostly enjoyed by men.
§am.

I noticed it too. Personally I think its funny. I give guys the benefit of the doubt, they know they are welcome and want to hang out talking about their cars.
Girls are different. Seems like sometimes they don't know how welcome they are. I mean what other Mustang site has a GirlsCanToo section (yeah Nicole!) and no bikini clad women for every other Avatar? Just trying to justify my behaviors I guess.

Welcoming the ladies
Hethj7:
Yeah, I noticed that the new girl members always get a big welcome here at MW. I think it's predictable and kind of nice. MW - like most 'car' websites - is probably 95% male so of course a 'Mustang Girl' will be noticed - and welcomed. I'm usually right there to do some of the welcoming. It's harmless and I'm sure it's appreciated by the ladies. |

Whatever it takes to get more girls/women interested in mustangs, I'm all for it. I always welcome my wife out to the garage when I'm working (of course she always has something cold for me to drink ).

Sorry I haven't replied. I have been away from my computer for a few days. I am all for more women on the boards, as is everyone else.
Maybe if I found a girl who loved Mustangs I wouldn't have had to always respond to "You love that car more than me" from my ex-girlfriend .

Nothing wrong with that either (women on avatars) its never bothered me at least. But blatant, rude leg humping is always unwelcome, especially if unprovoked. That is something we've never had to worry about on MW |
