Default James+mustang+cop+breathylizer=

GOOD I passed. I blew a 0.00. The only reason i had to take it was the fact that 2 of the ppl in my car had drank a bunch of beer. WE were having a party at my buddies house and they were gonig to have it ni the bush but it got real cold and windy out so they moved it to the house and barn. Well my friends got cold and I gave them a ride to teh laneway to the bush. Well we get out and walk the km to the busgh and then back and as were 70 yards from the mustang a cop drives by and immediatley stops and turns on the spotlight and pulls in behind my car. We walk up and engage in general conversation and the cop notices that joe and dan aren't walking exactly perfect. He asked us if we had permission to be there and who owned the porperty and such. We waited in the car and the cop came up with the breathylizerand tested me. Even though i ha't touched a drop of alcohol I was still really nervous. I was fumbling with the bag that held the mouthpiece and was shaking a bit. O f course i passed and was relieved. He was a really cool cop and was talknig to my friends about what kind of beer they were drinknig and stuff. He didsn't care that they were underage or anything. He joked around a little with us then left. It was a good experience though and i now know what exactly you do in a breathyler test.

I never drive it i even have one drop of alcohol. I drove one time after about 4 hours a few weeks after i got my license but haven't since and don'tr plan on it. If i would have registered at all i would have had an imapiared because with the graduated licensing if you have your g2 then u must blow a 0.00 or suffer teh consequences.

Having someone sober will almost ALWAYS save your @ss when it comes to things like that. Everytime me and my friends have a party there's always someone who is the designated driver. Even when i was under 21 there was someone who usually volunteered. I can't count how many times this saved us, and since we were being responsible about our drinking cops usually would let us go since we weren't causing trouble or endangering anyone. Cops can be pretty cool.....but always have the power to not be so cool if they choose. I try not to give them a reason to lock me up.

It's good to hear that you and your friends are responsible about drinking, i've had acquaintances that have run their cars off the road and even some that totaled their cars and got out pretty easy.....but it could have been worse.

Unfortunatly all of my friends aren't that responsible and I can't stand it. Its not worth driving drunk just to be home when your parents suggested anyways. I nkow my parents would rather have me sleep over then drive drunk and risk killing myself or some innocent person. Irs just not worth the consequences.

Good for you... I'm usually the designated driver too! Sometimes it's good to be the responsible one!
on a side note, I used to work at a bar in Key West that had a breathilizer in the building... You paid like 50 cents and blew in it and it told you how drunk you were!! Pretty cool! We'd see how drunk we could get!

It's not good to drink and drive, I am always the designated driver, and the official drunk's babysitter.

Well, they'd probably much prefer you didn't get drunk at all, James, but yeah, if you're going to drink, at least have the sense to stay off the road.
I think this incident brought that point home to you quite well. The cop did his job without being a jerk and no harm was done to anyone.

I have a rule that is one hour per beer. If I have had five beers than I can't drive until five hours after the last beer.

Nice Nice, alot of the cops around here are pretty cool like that too. When I got into my accident the cops found it kinda funny how I managed to put my car in the spot I did. And they were joking around with me. I was about to cry and then killed by my dad who was soon to arive and they were making wise *** jokes. Ohh... well I found it funny afterwords alot better then having jack *** cops.

My friends are all asses when it comes to driving high, drunk ,or tripping on something. Well some of them I should say. So I am always the DD and I would much rather see them get home alive than get another one of those 3am phone calls from a sobbing g/f, wife, or mother.

Stay responsible cause in the end it will probably end up actually saving your life.
