what parts to I need to beat a SS Camaro
I'm thinking of buying a 92 GT 5-speed. What parts do I need to beat a 2000 Camaro SS auto. A blower is out of the question. I'm also straped for cash. Thanks

If you're strapped for cash, you're in big trouble. Someone should be able to help you but my uneducated guess would be that you, at the very least, need a 150 shot of nitrous and gears, 3.73s or 4.10s.

I was thinking about a 125 HP shot of nitrous, a cobra intake, 3.73 gears, equal length shorty hedders, a X-pipe, 2-camber flows, a pro 5.0 shifter, pulleys, cold air induction, and ported GT-40P heads or (if my buddy sells them) elelbrock 5.0 performer heads. Will this be enough. Have I left anything out that I need.

With that combo you should be able to annihilate an SS! The combo without the nitrous (if its properly set up) should be able to beat the SS, heck, I've yet to meet an SS that can keep up with me. With sticky tires a lot of people with similar combos (with a 125 shot) are running 11's.

What happened to being strapped for cash!?!?! With that combo, you should put up a fight w/o the N2O and with it you will kill him! You will need things like injectors (24lb (maybe 30?)), fuel pump, and incidentals like bolts (head bolts specifically). Drop the cold air, the stock setup is fine.

this is over a long period of time. the cobra intake and heads being the farest away(which is a very long time)
Let me try again. Can I beat him with just NO2, X-Pipe, Cat-back, hedders, pullies, and gears ------------------ 1990 Dodge Dynasty with 275,000 miles. Mods:chiped paint, CD player. Sucks but it was free. Praying for a stang. The "Guetto Glider" If it ain't broke, you ain't tryin hard enough |

Add some sticky tires and some decent driving and it's a sure thing.

No problem you'll win with those parts. 225hp+125 =350hp.

I think you'll definately beat him in a 1/4 mile run but he will probably beat you on the high speed. especially if you have gears.

Just a 100 shot of n2o will do it methinks, though i don't know much about the juice.
