My dad had a '96 (I think it was) Maxima, until it got written off a few years ago while he was letting an abulance go threw the intersection. Either way, the car was absolutely amazing, pretty powerful, sweet BOSE sound system, even had heads up display (shows you your speed on the windshield while driving). And was very reliable, although he only had it for a few months. But I've never heard any complaints about them.

Get a 92 or up SHO 5 -speed. I got mine for 3200$ and had 120k on it. It now has 161k and no major problems (needed tune up and still leaks oil). Oh yeah, It will also run 15.15@92 in the 1/4 mi and gets around 20MPG in the city. And the best part, Its still a Ford, you can enter your beater into bracket races when your stang is down.

I am keeping the mustang and putting her in the garage for some serious mods... tired of driving a loud car with no a/c and exhaust smell etc everyday to work. As to the sho... no thanks i had a taurus before(non sho) and didn't like it too much. Very reliable but i am looking for something a little more luxurious, I was looking into the 2k2 maximas.
