If they do an intake it would be nice if they used phenolic between the heads and the runners to help insulate the manifold. The plastic intake don't conduct heat good, so there is some benefit beyond cheap to produce and light weight.

I don't know how compromised the factory piece is (maybe plenum volume?? and port entry??), but it just has to handle air and no fuel. which makes big gains from the aftermarket harder to do. IMO it would be like a set of mufflers, support piece for bigger airflow needs.

That said, I wouldn't mind something along the lines of the Cobra R intake, but for 2v apps. Its pretty much just a gaggle of velocity stacks with a lid, so architecture isn't to hard. Although runner length might be tricky. Then again anybody remeber that funky boxed affair they had for BB Chevys (I think it was accel) Open the lid and it had pressed air-horns extending runner length.
