Cheapest and easiest way to relocate mass air?

Ok, when I put my 73mm mass air meter in, I was having a lot of idling and surging problems. Put the stock meter back in and it went away. So I called C&L and talked with them. They say that I need to put the meter in the fenderwell because it is too close to the head unit of the supercharger. Called Paxton and they told me the same exact thing. I figure this must be the problem if I am getting the same story from 2 different companies. So my question is what would be the cheapest and easiest way to do this? I can't afford a powerpipe right now, so thats out of the question. Is there some kind of flex tubing that I could use to do this? I thought about dryer ducting, but I don't think it would look that good, and I doubt it would hold up. Anybody have any ideas on this? I would like to try and have this done by the 19th for my next race. Thanks a lot.

Find a muffler shop that will custom bend you some "schoolbus" pipe, mandrel bent.

dryer duct will collapse.

Well I actually went down to a few muffler shops about a month ago to see if somebody could custom bend me an intake pipe from the head unit to the throttle body. Nobody seemed to be able to make a 3" pipe bend like that. They all said they couldn't do it, and I don't want to use 2 1/2" pipe. Guess I could go hit Midas and see if they could do it. Is there a flex hose for superchargers? I thought I have seen a black hose that works like that. Not sure though.

Check out the tech article on the Corral website. It tells what is needed to do it using pvc pipe and elbows. I done this before I bought the powerpipe and it works pretty good.

You could make a shield for the filter to keep the engine air out or you can do like I did. I went down to a plumbing store and bought some pvc pipe to relocate mine, its not pretty but it works.
