Question Engine revs to 3 grand when i start it. Why?

1986 GT, 302. My engine revs to 3000RPM every time I start it...What's the deal?

Dissconnect the AIB vavle on the side of the throttle body and see if it does it anymore. It's the cylinder shapped in the front. It will take you a second to keep it running with that unplugged, untill the car warms up. That works like a choke. If it doesn't idle that high anymore, replace it and everything should be ok.
