Default Failed Hall Sensor...

My only consolation is that it took some guys over a year to figure this problem out.
The "Hall sensor" in my Mallory Distributor is failing Ohm resistance tests.
This, after I have replaced/troubleshot everything you can think of.
This can cause lean misfire and is apparently rare.
Go figure.
Anybody got a spare distributor?
And to think I tossed the Duraspark one because I thought it was crappy.

I recall suggesting that you swap out that mallory with your stocker to see if it made any diff... You did read that didn't you? You had my brain going wondering what it might be (if I were in your shoes). As I also stated earlier I have had many problems with TFI modules going bad, so I can relate to your problem totally.

I am glad to see that you have finally located your problem. I'll bet you feel a little bit better...

I really wish I could recommend the MSD, but as I stated in an earlier post that the damn TFI went bad on that not very long after I bought it... (it LOOKS cool) geeze!

TFI's don't like me for some reason...

Default TFI's...

Yeah, I've got two brand new TFI's($120) and I just found my old Duraspark distributor literally 5 minutes ago. It's actually in pretty good shape. Installing it first thing in the a.m.
Will let you know.
