![]() has anyone bought the T-5 rebuild kit from D&D...if so did it come with syncro's?
------------------ 1991 GT,T-5,air silencer removed,racing clutch(previous owner put in so dont know what kind),K&N air filter,Aiwa deck,power acoustic amp,2 12" pianeers,UPDATE: Just got my Mac long tube headers By the time summer comes ill have full Mac exhaust,new shifter knob and what ever else i can afford |

![]() if i got the D&D rebuild id still have to buy a steal bearing retainer? what exactly is that anyway? haha

![]() The steel bearing retainer is the shaft the throwout bearing rides on, and it retains the front input shaft bearing into it's housing. The stock one is made of aluminum and it's prone to scoring and poor clutch feel.

![]() I too have a T5 that needs to be replaced, but was told a lot of the T5 cases, because they are aluminum, may have too much wear to be usable again. Is this a big problem with these?

![]() Your case should be fine, I would just rebuild it. Like I said mine has taken a lot of hard launches(4000RPM+) at the track these last 4 years and plenty of gear banging on the street, these things will take more of a beating then some give it credit for. If I could afford it I would love to upgrade to a Street Jerico 4 sp, but the $2600.00 is a little out of my budget right now
