Post Stock Head Porting...

I am going to have my heads rebuilt on my '89 LX. I was thinking about getting them ported instead of dropping $1000 plus on aftermarket heads. What is the best way to explain the port work that I want done to a machine shop? I have a fairly stock motor except for a few bolt ons. I am trying to start with the heads and work from there. I am not after huge HP gains. Just better flowing heads that will yield better power with minor bolt ons.

Mods so far...
MAC CAI
Off road H-pipe
2 chamber flows
3.55 gears
