![]() Maybe you can help.
1. My Air bag light blinks while I drive. Sometimes it stops blinking and a louding buzzing noise comes from behind the AC panel. 2. The radiator looses water. I have a new water pump and it doesn't leak. No water or smoke comes out of the exhaust that I know of. I don't overheat. The radiator lets out pressurized air when the water is low. No bubbles. I'm gonna double check the hoses. 3. After driving the car for a short while, it won't start. I'll turn the key and it'll do about half a crank then I have to let off or smoke will come out from my cowl. If I try to push start the car, it'll start but some of the rockers will be loud and the engine won't run right. I'll miss. If it runs for a few minutes the rockers will quiet down. Normally I never hear the rockers. They are otherwise quiet. Are they too tight or loose? After the car cools, it'll start up just fine. The car always runs nice and cool according to the guage. I never feel heat hesitation on the throttle nor does it smoke. I bought a new battery, starter, and alternator. Same problem. Thank for your help. ![]() Sounds like one of your air bag sensors is going bad, the buzzing is coming from the air back control panel which is a small box behind the A/C controllers.
Mystery leaks suck, I had a issue like that on my stock motor, it would loose water and I would never find it in the oil, exhaust or on the ground. How much do you loose? It could have a seeping head gasket and just burn it, you would never see that in the exh. You could do a leak down test, compression test and pressurize the cooling system to try to track it down. Your 160 thermo is too low though, it will not let the radiator do its job effectivly since the thero is basically all the way open all the time it doesn't have enough time to cool down, even though yours is running cool. Leave your hod up and see where the smoke is coming from next time, sounds like something is shorting out maybe the starter solidnoid on the drivers side shock tower, or if the starter is getting heat soaked and will not start, the smoke is not good...be carefull so it doesn't catch fire.

![]() Thanks for the info. Air bag sensor? I'll rip that sucker out if I have to. I loose alot of water about every two days. I just remembered that the car seems to loose the water after I've driven it all day and it sits. Sometimes I've seen a puddle underneath the engine on the ground. I think its some kind of leak that evaporates from the hot engine. I've been looking for corrotion everywhere to see if I find a source. Thanks for your help.
