![]() I'm looking at the chart that came on the box that my TFTW heads came in.
.1 intake lift.............. 63 cfm, Exhaust lift...........53 cfm .2 ......................... 141 cfm, ........................107 cfm .3 ......................... 205 cfm, ........................144 cfm .4 ......................... 233 cfm, ........................171 cfm .5 ......................... 251 cfm, ........................187 cfm .6 ......................... 251 cfm, ....................... 193 cfm Looks like your Canfields beat the TFTW's all to heck flow-wise. With that big of runners (192 vs. 170), be sure that you don't have too much head for your application with those Canfields. Rev

Wow the Canfield really out perform the trickflows at the lower lift levels. I guess the Trickflows can go on my back up motor.

![]() Intake port volumes can be extremely mis-leading, as well as comparing a companys advertised flow numbers versus a shops numbers.
The TW on average has an intake port that is a full half inch shorter than most inline ford heads, making the port volume look 'low'. Comparing cross sectional area is worthwhile. Flow numbers from bench to bench can vary alot. Theres so many different calibrations and ways to flow cylinder heads no 2 benches are the same. I've seen 30 cfm difference in some peoples numbers, from the bench that I use. Flow them back to back on the same bench would be the best way to compare numbers. And the head that flows the best might not make the most power either. Andy

![]() What Andy says. I've flowed alot of heads over the years on the same bench and haven't found the advertised numbers to be very accurate. Remember, Confusius say..."Believe only have of what you read in the magazines and be suspect of that half you do believe."

![]() I'm a BIG Canfield fan, so I can't be 100% unbiased here.
BUT, I'd be VERY surprised if an untouched set of TF's outflowed an unshrouded set of Canfield's. Just my $.02! ![]()
