Default Is oil up the intake manifold bad?

If I saw oil come up my intake manifold, is that bad? If this was just excessive crank pressure, is it fatal? did I blow a piston ring? my baby needs help...

You will have a little film of oil in there from the pvc, but if it is excessive you may have a problem. It may be something simple so check out the little stuff first.

I am not sure what causes it, but my buddy has a Cobra intake, cam, roller rockers, ect.. and when you pull the vacum line off the intake oil just drips out. Not sure why but it seems to happen with every aftermarket intake.

I have the same problem with my Performer intake. It pools up in the corners but not excessive. I think it's from opening up the engine, heads, exhaust, intake, etc. An engine sucks in more air and in turn i feel adds more cfm to the pvc valve allowing oil fummes to pass and accumilate in the intake. That's my theory at least. If any one cares to enlighten us please do.

I pulled off the upper intake on my cobra and saw oil on the gasket. I was told if you grind the stock baffel out of the valve cover that you can draw oil into your intake through the vent tube that runs from the oil spout to the intake. I replaced the oil cap with a breather cap and plugged the vent tube.

I have the same thing with my performer intake. I was just hoping it was normal for it.

Too much can be a problem but a little is normal, I also had a light coat in my upper Trickflow on the 88GT.
