I don't think you put thread locker on the nuts that hold the rocker down, just the stud going into the head. I've never heard of putting loctite on the nut but I know that having the nuts back out is a problem for some people, I had one back out on me last night as a matter of fact. I just retightened them and torqued the crap out of the set screw.

Sorry Matt. My wife took me out for my B-Day so I just got your message. I don't think I've ever seen anyone use Loc Tite on the rockers. I don't have any on mine and they are fine. I do know that you'll want to use some Anti-Sieze on the spark plugs to keep them from freezing up in the heads.
What all kind of paperwork came with the AFR heads?

I had a little problem with mine coming loose and coming off, I thought it was just me because I did not have much experience putting them on so I took it to a shop and told them what they were doing and they tightened them for me and some of them came off again. I used loc tight on mine and have not had a problem since.
You should not have to but for some reason I did.

That's weird, I did not have any problem getting mine off when I pulled the motor and I removed the rockers.

What color loc-tite did you use? Blue loc-tite should never harden that much, but red will. If you use blue you should be O.K.
