Post Rear tires rubbing, will shocks help?

I bought a set of Koni adjustable shocks in replacement of the Lakewood drag shocks that are on the rear end of my 93GT and have been there since it was in full drag mode. The tires (BFG 275's Drag radials) rub whenever I turn right or left. I'm alright going straight, but the minute I turn they rub. Should these shocks help? If not, does this mean I have to remove the Eibach lowering springs and go back to an original spec. spring?
