![]() Just installed a supercharger on my car and I am trying to tune it. What is a good start for the TPS, Fuel Pressure, and Timing settings?

![]() Dont waste your time messing with the TPS, and just experiment with fuel pressure and timing. Start rich and conservative on timing, then increase timing if it doesnt detonate, and increase fuel if it makes more power and runs better that way. Maybe someone with a charger can give detailed advice, but common sense should prevail.

![]() TPS--Don't worry bout it
Fuel Pressure--Are you using a FMU(Fuel Management Unit)? I'm assuming that you are.Fuel pressure, usually most people start around 40psi at idle, the FMU raises it as boost increases. Timing--Timing should be at 10 degrees BTDC,thats what alotta manufacturer's suggest in their kits(including mine) ------------------ ![]() Paxton Blown 87GT ICQ#112698436 |

![]() 30lbers should be big enough with out a FMU. Do you have a chip or anything else ? MSD Boost retard box or PMS ect. ? But, basicly, to run a supercharger you need a big fuel pump, big injectors or a FMU to compensate for small injectors. MAS air is to be calabrated for a supercharger.Fuel pressure 45lbs, TPS setting the same as usual. Sometimes a small hole in the TB blade will help if you have some surging. Timing, pump gas= about 18 degrees, race gas 24-30 , depends on how brave you are. I run mine straight race gas and 112 octain and 24 degrees. (full boost) but I do know others who run all around in timing, like a A trim with 10lbs and 30 degrees straight out , unchanged. E-mail me if you need more help.
