347 Stroker
AFR 185's, ported and polished
Holley systemax intake, ported and polished
Anderson cam
1.6 or 1.7 RR's
30lb Injectors
76mm C&L
70mm TB
Holley adjustable fuel regulators
D&D Tubular K-member and A-Arms
Flaming river manual steering
Windage Tray
Long tube headers
Fuel cell
Rear seat delete
Battery in back
A/C delete
Smog delete
Underdrive pulleys
Flex-a-lite fan
8pt Roll cage
O/R H-pipe
4.30 gears
31 Spline axles
Mac upper and lower control arms
Quad shocks removed (Hoping to fit 315's in the rear)
Eibach drag launch kit
70/30 struts
50/50 drag shocks

My only question is I dont know what tranny to buy. I am wanting a strong Auto with a good stall, what is a stall that is streetable but still has plenty of balls...
The car has been doing the one wheel wonder for some time now. Will rebuilding the trac lok be enough or will it break again with to much power...

After the car is all together I am taking it to Andersons Motorsports in Ill. and having it dyno'd...Then from there I am going to add a shot of giggle gas to get it to its limits..isnt the stock block limits like 550hp??? is that at the crank or the wheels??

Thanks
Derek

I'd look at a Lentech AOD, From what I've heard the C4 isn't very fun on the street. I think if your spending this much money, might as well rebuild your 8.8 and get c-clip eliminators (You'll need them if you break into the 10's) and an aftermarket diff or spool. I like my Torsen diff but I don't think it's really designed for drag racing, Oh yeah 31 or 33 spline hardened axles will be a must.

Sounds like a killer setup to me. I dont think you will need 4.30 gears though. That 347 will make plenty of torque. Id go with 3.73's with a T-5 or Tremec 5speed, of if u deciede with the auto I would go with 4.10's.

As for the holley, give Jack at muscle motors a call, I got mine next day from him.. For a killer price, I cant say it on here.

But call him, tell him your my friend and he can get you a great price, they are instock so they go out as soon as you pay.

Musclemotors.

I would just run that combo on the motor (just my opinion), you would have the wheels up on a launch im sure n/a (with slicks), and if your using streetable compression the 30lb injtrs should be enough, how reliable do you plan on keeping it? with roll cage and 4.30 grs i take it you wont be driving to work everyday,

depending on race weight, you could see a high 11-low 12, just granny shifting a t-5.

oh yea, while your getting upgraded axles, it would only be the right thing to do to get a locker diff..ie powertrax......good luck with a heck of a combo.

with 4.30 grs, you will not hook up any kind of radials, not that i know of.

Lots of other Goodies...
Just bought a nice forged 331 stroker kit for a new block that should be ready to take 650hp of abuse.

This car will be driven once or twice a week through town and to a couple local car shows. I havent decided which anderson cam I am going to go with yet. I am going to give them a call and see which one I should go with.

So should I try to keep my WC T-5 for awhile and see how it does? How much power can those things handle?

Sorry if I missed it, but what compression are you going with? And how much porting are you going to have done? Any flow #'s in mind?

I have no idea what compression and flow #'s are going to be...I was just going to have automotion of indy port as much as possible and still match the ports for the intake and heads.

As for the heads, I am uncertain of which chambers to go with 58cc or 64cc? Stud or pedestal mount? I am unsure..Which would be the best. I will also be wanting to run a shot of nitrous with this setup also...

I would go with the stud mounts and say 10:1 or 10.5:1 with nitrous. Depending upon the exact pistons, gaskets, etc. that you end up with you'll most likely be around 10:1 with flat-top pistons and 58 cc heads. 64 cc's would drop to around 9.4:1 or so.

I would use the victor 5.0 on a 347. I had the systemax II intake and the victor 5.0 was much better for my setup, even down low. I would also drop kick the auto and buy a tremec tko with a nice set of 3.73's but I am a stick man.
This is what I would do.

347 Stroker
AFR 185's, ported and polished
Victor 5.0, gasket match
custom cam
1.6 rr's
30lb Injectors
76mm C&L
70mm TB
Holley adjustable fuel regulator and a 255lpr pump
D&D Tubular K-member and A-Arms & coil overs
Flaming river manual steering
Windage Tray
Long tube headers
Fuel cell
Rear seat delete
Battery in back
A/C delete
Smog delete
Underdrive pulleys
Flex-a-lite fan
8pt Roll cage
O/R H-pipe
3.73 gears
31 Spline axles
SSM lift bars and uppers
Quad shocks removed (Hoping to fit 315's in the rear)
Moroso "trick" rear springs
50/50 drag shocks
