Yeah, could just be a clogged fuel filter.
Replace it. It could be as simple as that.

If that doesn't fix it, could be the FP or possibly the TFI module.

This is frustrating, but cars - even Mustangs - are machines and things break, wear out or just malfunction. It happens; stay cool.
