Default Cheap 5.0 Mods????

What are some cheap 5.0 mods for your money and does anyone have any for sell or know who has the best prices?


Im also selling a King Kobra Clutch Setup (throwout bearing, preasure plate, and clutch disc) from a 88 5.0 GT with a stock engine and tranny.
-Only has 50 miles
-In NEW condition
-Never shifted over 2500RPMs
I am selling it b-cuz right after i bought it my parents got me a diff. Clutch setup
Asking $100 + S/H

CHEAP MODS

1 race crank pully
2 short belt. crank, alt, water
3 cut exhast right behind muffers, throw the pipe away
4 K&N filter, remove silencer, build home made ram air
5 $90.00 1 1/2" long tube headers (headman, flowtech)
6 4 cly springs from junk yard (all 4)
7 Remove all unnessasary weight, Speaker box with 10 -15s ect...
8 Fresh tune up, pluggs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter.
9 FPR $40.00 a littlel less pressure right now would help
10 Learn to drive, I mean REALLY learn to drive. Seat not in the pimping position, strait up and a little closer than normal. Oh alum seats are cheap also, and are stronger.

Just no telling, stripped out enough, good tires and gears, 12s for sure, mabey even .....well.....who knows...

Another cheap and easy mod is to bore your stock mass air unit out to about 62mm (or get a C&L 73). Don't forget to buy a good shifter so you don't screw up your trans.

The biggest restriction in the stock intake is the lower intake - I have been porting them for Stang owners for years. I charge $100 labor plus return shipping - from Texas that should be about $15 each way or $130 total. I don't have any customers from this forum (that I know of) but I can direct you do other references if your interested. Just send me a PM with your e-mail address and I'll send pics and reference locations.
