i just recently got a 396 stroked engine pushing 440rwhp with 10:5 compresion. i want to supercharge the motor and i was wondering if the 10:5 is too much. if not what would be the best sc for me??

10:5 is to hi for boost.

my motor is 10:1 and didnt like boost at all. i guess you could run boost with hi compression but detonation would happen very easily and you wouldnt be able to run pump gas. SPRAY IT! |

yes 10.5 is too high for a supercharger. I around 9.0 to 9.5 is about as much compression as you can have and easily apply boost to.

Yeah, like others said, that is high comp. I guess you might could get away with a huge (3 core) intercooler, cooler plugs, Higher octane, retard timing, etc, etc, but in the end, spraying that motor would give you the best bang for the buck. Say a 150 shot...
