well, I finally figured it out..I had a two-fold problem:
1. the alternator , my POWERMASTER 140 AMP gave up after barely a year..
2. the Duraspark into which the MSD Ignition was connected to burned out and after getting the right wiring information from the tech service at MSD I rewired and by-passed the Dura spark.
