Post Made up my mind-347 plans starting

Ok, was talking to my engine builder today. Great guy. After the 4.10's go in in the next couple of weeks, I'm going to start stockpiling parts for a 347 stroker. I would like to add the heads and intake to the 302 in the meantime, but get parts that will be compatible with the larger motor when the project is built and it's ready for the swap. I'm set on AFR heads. Do you guys think 185's for the 347? If so, do you think they'd be too much for the 302 in the meantime. No way in hell I'm spending a grand twice. Just looking for your opinions. I think I'm going with an Edelbrock Performer 5.0 intake.

I have a 347 for about three years,a good cooling system is a must!Your choice of heads a good one,a little large for a 302 great for a 347! Mine will pass the fast pass dyno emission test! and runs a 11.84 @113.7 this is a great engine you will love it. Go mild on the cam if you can, mine does not like city traffic, runs hot!! Hope I was of some help!

Great times. What is your 347 comprised of?
