![]() Thanks dark 5.0, but don't the underdrive pulleys rob the a/c compressor and alternator? Why an electric fan?
The shift kit was recommended by a mechanic. Was he wrong not mentioning the underdrive pulleys? |

There is a trade off with the underdrive pulleys. like you mentioned your accessories turn slower. The payoff is they help quite a bit. I went from low 15's to a 14.73 back in the day. Nothing helps like a good set of heads and an intake manifold. Even with a stock cam this can be a 80 HP upgrade. Not cheap though.
