Why do I see some high performance engines w/ breather caps on the oil spout?????? - Page 2

I'm not suggesting them, I was just stating what I 'thought' they were used for (thought being the key word here). I don't know where I got that idea or if its true. I got that idea from somewhere, just don't remember.. Some of these other guys would 'probably' know better than I.

I am going to Advanced Auto tonight to look for the breather cap that will screw in. Thanks for all the advice guys.

I would like to do this, He just plugged the throttle body port and hooked the pcv vavle to the valve cover with a breather in the middle..? That seems like it would still spew oil...

I believe he means the engine side of the PCV system changed from the intake manifold to the oil fill tube. The other end still went to the tb. Routing from the intake, the valve cover or the oil filler tube to one of the other two wouldn't work. In order for a PCV system to work properly, one end has to be attached to a manifold vacuum source, and the closer it is to the tb, the better it will be mixed with the incoming air, and less likely to foul a specific plug.
