Default 2nd and 3rd gear prob.

I am having some problems with 2nd and 3rd gear in my 5.0 It shifts into the gears fine, but while in them it seems to grind a little. It doesent pop out or anything, just sounds like its grinding and you can feel a somthing grinding when holding the shifter.

Any help would be great!

Mine did that!

It makes a little whine in 3rd and you can feel it in the shifter. That was right before it blew. Time for a rebuild.

Mine went because the input shaft retainer had broken and the car ran fine for a while until the shaft locked up on the highway a few weeks later. I found this all out in the aftermath disassembly.
