Default Well I took my 302 out and this is why my motor took a crap

This is what caused my 302 to start running like crap. Broken rings. When I pulled the oil pan off I found them in the bottom of the pan. It tore the piston and cylinder wall up.

There is the old motor and trans.

Instead of redoing the 302. My boss told me he'll sell me this 351W that I put together a couple months earlier. I told him yea. I've been getting all the parts this past week to swap the 351 in my mustang. I also got my tranny rebuilt.

Here is the 351W.

Here's the intake that's going on it. I just got in the mail yesterday.

Here is my trans already to go back in. I painted and clear coated it.

Here the motor coming together

I didn't bead blast it because it was new. But I just clear coated it. I also did the water pump if you can tell. I'm going to bead blast the new intake on my Falcon and clear coat it. I like that look.

Well this is what a I got done so far. I don't have time to really work on it so it's taking me longer then I wanted it to. I am wanting on a new starter because my power stud broke off. So I couldn't put the drive side headers in. I'm waiting on a distributor. I have to run new fuel line because I'm putting a bigger fuel pump. I bought a throttle cable from lokar I'm waitnig for that to come in so I can install it.

Well, It's pretty much done. Saturday I ran my fuel line and installed my Locar throttle cable. Then I fired it up and did a few burnout's. My dad buddy where we where working on my car has 5 acre of land and a long drive way. So I made a pass down his drive way. I had my dad filming but he didn't get all the cool stuff I guess he forgot to hit record. The only thing let to do is install my exhaust. I had shorty headers last time now I have long tube so I'm just going to take it to the guy that does my exhaust and get him to cut what I have and make it fit.

That is nice work. I'm a confirmed EFI convert though even though I hovered over carbs for the better part of 40 years.

I got my exhaust put on today. All he had to do is shorten the pipe because I had shorties with the 302. So it's pretty much drivable but I still have to fix a few thing before I start really driving it.
