Sure, go with Mobil 1. I love that stuff. You're doing everything just right. next time you change your oil and filter, use Mobil 1 and anything but a Fram filter.

I'm glad you solved your balancer problem!! Feels good, doesn't it!

Take care,
-Chris

ANOTHER THING TO THINK ABOUT WHEN YOU ARE FINDING LEAKS SUDDENLY ALL OVER THE PLACE IS THE SCREEN BELOW THE pcv VALVE. THIS SCREEN BECOMES CLOGGED AFTER TIME AND WILL RESTRICT THE 'BREATHING' OF THE ENGINE AND INCREASE THE OIL PRESSURE ON ALL THE SEALS. MANY TIMES THIS CAUSES MULTIPLE LEAKS IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME.

Fram oil filters use the cheapest components internally, including cardboard. Thier bypass valve is crap, and they dont care about quality in their oil filters. Dont believe me, cut one open and see for yourself. Tell your friends, tell everybody. Lets put those cheap bastards out of business.

That's an awesome site to visit if you want the low down on what's inside your filter.

All I can say is fram makes junk.

Engine wear is caused by dirt particles larger than 5 microns. A fram will filter from 20 to 40 microns. A filter such as Amsoil will filter down to 10 microns. The smaller the dirt particle is the less wear your engine will have. We all take pride in are ponys, so a few more dollars for a better filter is worth it. Dont you think.
