Door jamb rattle...
Okay, I know this is retarded but my driver's side door doesn't close tightly anymore and it has a lot of play in it, like 1/2" or more when I'm doing 90 or so. What the hell could cause that? Is the door out of adjustment? Absolutely nothing has happened to the car, accidents etc.
Okay, how do I fix this? As far as I can tell, there is nothing out of adjustment on the jamb. Thanks in advance...

Worn out latch or pins and bushings in the hinges?

Either the hinge pins and bushings or the striker bolt, or the latching mechanism inside the door(the part that latches to the striker bolt) Most likely it is the striker bolt.

The bolt that the door attaches to (striker bolt?) has a plastic ring around it that wears out, cracks, and falls off after a long time. This decreases the outside diameter of the bolt by enough to cause a rattle. Happend to me. Its super easy and cheap to replace. All you need to buy is the right socket to get it out. It's one of those asterisk shaped sockets.
