Default Tall Valve Covers w/ SystemaxII intake?

I have the tall FMS valve covers and I was wondering if a one inch spacer will work with that intake. The GT40 requires a one inch and it barely clears so I hope a one inch will work here also..

I use to have the systemax II intake. I had a 1" spacer and had to grind 1/8" on the bottom of the intake to get it to clear the valve cover. Some valve covers are taller then others and you may not have a problem.

I just have a cheap set of stamped aluminum valve covers that I ordered from modern mustang.
I went to the Victor because I shift at 6600 rpm, plus I can remove the valve covers with the upper on. It was a good move for me because my car is a 80% track car and 347's make enough power down low without a long runner intake anyway.
What valve cover gaskets are you using? I am using Earls pressure master gaskets and they are 1/8" thick. If I used some normal gaskets the upper might of fit.
