![]() Hey everyone,
I've got an 89 coupe that used to be a 4 cylinder. I'm getting ready to drop a C4 w/transbrake in it and want to swap over to an 8.8 at the same time. Well I've kind of came to the realization that besides the elementary basics, I don't know anything about rearends. Can anyone tell me the difference in a Detroit Locker and an Eaton? Also, how is a full spool on the street? What would you recommend on a car that's going to see the street occasionally but serves mostly as a track car? I want to get it in the low 12's/high 11's NA and then eventually spray it. ------------------ 1989 LX 5.0 Coupe 13.30's @ 106.7 while doing the aod shuffle...needs gear and converter. 1992 LX 5.0 Convertible Moderator SN95.com, Stangtec.com |
