Post Lentech AOD

Jeff Chambers, I am going to use your name and see if I can get some money off a transmission. Is that ok :-) jk. I've come to the conclusing that I will need a Street Terminator or Street Terminator Plus. Maybe you can help me figure out what tranny i should get. The diff as you know is the HP rating. I'd like to save money but I dont know if saving 500 is worth it. If i want to run solid 11's or even high 10's and drive it on the street, what one do you suggest. Also, i've heard of people getting the Lentech for cheaper, like a hundred or two off... Can you hook me up with the connections???

You'll have to talk to Len, but I ordered mine this time last year and they were running an 'End of Season' special that knocked a couple hundred off. Go ahead and talk with Len about my combination and he'll tell you what we've done over the last year.

Talk with Len about your plans for the car and he'll help you decide which transmission and converter combo makes sense. If you're planning on a combination street/strip car, then I'd think he'll steer you towards the Street Terminator Plus. If its going to be 95% street driven, then the Street Terminator would suffice. If you've got plans for 400+HP and a lot of strip duty, then you probably should seriously consider moving up to the Strip Terminator line. Len won't steer you wrong just for the sake of the $$$. Listen and trust what he tells you.

I just drove up to their shop the weekend before last and let me say that I was thoroughly impressed. This is no slouch operation. Clean, orderly and professional. EVERY valve body gets thoroughly tested on a valve body machine before it is shipped or installed. EVERY complete transmission gets thoroughly tested on a transmission dyno with all critical functions evaluated. There are NO shortcuts in their processes. Chris attempted to explain how a Lentech valve body works, but the details quickly went over my head, but I could see that Len has seriously modified and improved the design of the valve body.

Will it be on their website, or do I have to call? I want to save some money! :-) Could you call and find out, becuase I doubt they'll tell me... Hmm... I have the money, but the car isn't going to be out of storage until march, but I can get the tranny before then and even put it in before then...

You can email me at jchambers@kellnet.com. Call up and talk with them, its the only way to know for sure. I don't know if they're having a season's end pricing, but they did last year when I ordered mine.

Call them at 1-613-838-9996.
