![]() How to....
Definitely different intake. 2 openings for two carbs. what about heads? probably need much large heads for more free flow? cam? Man that's alot of fuel to be used, it seems to me, to have 2 carbs. Kinda curious what all has to be changed to achieve such a conversion. ------------------ FOR SALE: 1996 Mustang GTS: 5-speed, K&N, removed air silencer, 3.73s, turndowns after stock H-pipe (no mufflers), 16 inch Mustang GT wheels; 46,400 miles. $11,500 |

![]() thanks, me and the mistris (my wife named it) have spent a lot of time together and it's been well worth it. i am trying to get a updated pic that will show the detail i have been doing this pic shows the intake a little, i hand polished it d since this pic i have added weiand valve covers and polished the distrbutor housing. polishing this was some dirty work also well worth the time. i saw a duel high rise for sale today HMMMM..

![]() Brock,
I too have a f-28 intake with 2-4's [500 cfm's] It is on a 289, 1.9 intake, 1.6 exhaust. Ported heads, roller Hyd. cam and roller rockers. I also installed an AOD. I get about the same milage you get, but I haven't checked it since I took the c-4 out and installed the AOD. Around town is still about the same, single digits. Nice Ride |

![]() I had to lean the metering rods and primary jets down. I used the chart in the instructions that came with the carbs. I went two steps lean. My car would build up black soot in the flowmaster while I was driving normal [this is when vacumn is high and the rods are down], then when I would stand on it I put out enough black smoke that it looked like a diesel. Nice and clean now, just a hint of black.
Don't run it at the track. Sorry. The rear is a 9 inch with 3.50 traction lok. And I run 225/60/15 tires. They may be 235, but I don't think so. I would run out in garage and check, except I keep it in one of those inflatable bubbles. IT IS NOT A TRAILER QUEEN !! Just easier to keep clean in garage with bubble and in humid FL here it keeps it from mildewing too. The roller will make a difference. Mine did. I changed from a normal Crane hyd. I also added Shelby style Traction masters. They sit up close to springs and look good too. They also work. |

![]() My car use to be in the user rides section, but it was quite a while ago. Not there now. I'll try and get a pic on the net. I have been meaning to, but just too busy at shop to do it.
My FB is Red, black interior with torque thrusts. 2 1/2 inch exhaust all the way to the rear valance, where I welded the SS split, "Y" tips on. I also have A/C, you really need it here in FL. I drive it a couple of times a month. Right now I am going to pull the trans [AOD] and install the Art Carr solid input shaft and a stall converter [2400]. I also have a 351W in my shop that I have to put together and hopefully, yes hopefully someday install. Just no time. The 351W has a stroker crank, eagle rods, ross pistons and Elderbrock heads. 426 cu in when done. Crane hyd roller cam and rockers too. |

![]() sounds like you've got a real nice ride. quite honestlt if the paint on mine were applied as well as it looks i probably wouldn't drive it to work as much either, were it chips it peels. poor pre-paint prep i think. and with gas as $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$as it is and those 2 500's not cheap to drive.
BTW gas was $1.26 in KS this weekend, somwhere between here and topeka and 1.65 here ![]() ![]() ![]() joe |

![]() Heck, I payed $1.81 for Amaco yesterday. That is high test though. Real strong money.
Here in Orlando, FL the Shell stations have vanished and they are turned in to AMACO |
