Vacuum
After I was done replacing my EGR valve, i thought i would check to see what kind of vacuum it needs. i started the car and let it idle. I put my finger over the Vacuum line and didn't feel much. I gave it a little throttle and could feel a little pull on my finger. I then pulled the line off the Fuel Pressure Regulator and put my finger over it. At idle it had enough to keep my finger stuck on it. Had lots more pull than the EGR vacuum. Should it be this way, or is there a vacuum problem somewhere?

The EGR valve has controlled vacuum. It should only be open at part throttle. There should be zero vacuum at idle. If you do get vacuum, the EGR vacuum solenoid is not working correctly.
The fuel pressure regulator has uncontrolled vacuum. It's active all the time. ------------------ 351W 89 Mustang GT Convertible |

Do you happen to know where the EGR vacuum solenoid is located?? Is it in the passenger side fenderwell??

It's on the backside of the passenger side strut tower. There should be a group of three. One on top and two on bottom. It may be different on your car depending on the year. You can just trace your vacuum back from the EGR. It should just go from EGR to a vacuum tree and then from the tree to the solenoid.
