Default Where can I run a jumper to the fuel pump?

I need to temporarily wire my fuel pump to come on when the ignition is on so that I can drive it about 3 miles. I am not getting power to the pump somewhere after hiding my wires in the fenderwell. I just need to get it home so that I can troubleshoot the real problem. What is the safest way to do this?

I was thinking I could run a wire from the fuse box back to the plug where the inertia switch is in the trunk. Will this work?

Make sure you hooked up the EEC ground. It is on the dirver side and had a plug that has a wire that is grounded to the body. I had the same probelm when I re-wired my 86 with 89 harnesses. The plug was open(the other end was missing) and I couldn't remember what it was for. After troubleshooting I cut the plug off and ground the end to the body.

Yeah, I think that is the problem. I actually damaged that wire in the process. Do you remember the coloring or origin of the wire so that I can trace it back and re-do that wire to a ground? Any help would be great.

It's over in the area by the starter relay. It's black with a green stripe if I'm not mistaken. But the plug is a round plud that has a loop like connection where the 2 halve's meet. You will see what I am talking about when you see it.
