PKRWD; Intake is off, but
1 Attachment(s)
Got the stock intake off. Could not get the distributer out. Followed the chiltons manual with TDC and evrything, but it would only raise up less than a 1/16th. Looks like I can get the new intake on with it still in or unless u suggest something else to try.
Also here are some pics of the heads and the valley. Couldnt find anything that looked like casting #'s, but took pics of what #'s I could find. Like I would know what Im looking at.. lol. Would like ur opiion on what u see. |

The date code on the head shown is January 1988. Try using a mirror and look at the bottom of the head from the lifter valley for other casting numbers.
Take care, ~Chris |
What am I missing is that not a 302 HO with E7 heads.
My distributor was hard to get out as well I removed the spark plug wires and had my brother bump the ignition as I pryed it up. After I got it out once it ws easy after that. |

Got the intake on and it back together. Could not get the distributor out, so I went ahead and put the typhoon intake on. Forgot to look for those #'s PKRWD. Thanks for ur time. Anything else you noticed that is worth a mention? That motor was very clean inside, so Ill believe the guy on what he said about the rebuild. I am planning on stroking the motor in 2004, unless I find a mopar that turns me on..heh heh.
Headers next then the MAF. Once these are on ill put it on a dyno |
