Oil On Plug Threads??
 

swapped out my plugs and my 10,000 mile motor had oil on the plug threads not so much on the plug THEY WERE FOULED though, what does this mean? Blow-by improper intake gasket seals? what I am stressed.. motor doesnt smoke but does use a lil oil, NEW MOTOR 10,000 miles. info below.

Dont forget to check for leaky valve cover gaskets. Admitted, fouled plugs make it look like something else, but I have had leaky covers that filled the plug holes.

To check for blow-by do a leak-down test. The thing that sticks out in my mind is fouled plugs and uses oil. It almost sound like a "little" oil is getting in the cylinder. I'd check the PVC valve to see if it popped off or see if the PVC valve is pulling to much oil in the intake. Sometimes increasing compression and more ring seal will result in excessive crankcase pressure. To a greater extent I'd also check the valve seals.

Dont know why but the Valve Cover Breather is Suckin Air. Pullin alot of vacume.. should it be doing this?? why would it SUCK air? hmmm lemme know guys I am stumped

It's supposed to. In an engine with a complete PCV system, the air goes into the engine at the oil fill or breather, and comes back out through the PCV valve. The whole point of having the breather as a filter is to filter the air going into the engine, to prevent dirt and such from entering. You don't start to develop air exiting the breather until the engine gets excessive blow-by, or if the PCV is plugged.

Boy Thats good to know, mine is really pullin in some air i guess it will 10.1 compression huh.. well thats good. what do you think will cause oil on the thread of the plugs and foul them out. NO OIL LEAKS valve covers are perfectly sealed.. also it might be pulling a lil oil into teh Upper Intake.

Did you remember to install a baffle underneath where the PCV hose plugs into the intake? What about the screen? Is the PCV valve new?
