The drive shaft counter weight
I am looking at buying a 1994 Mustang 3.8L V6. The car 100,000 miles on it. In a recent email from the owner, he said that the drive shaft counter weight needs to be removed because it is causing the underneath to rattle. I was wondering if anyone has heard of this problem, and could explain what is happening. Thanks

It may have a broken bolt or something on the bracket. It is there to dampen vibration so removing it may cause there to be driveline vibration. It should be easy to fix and if not you could get one real cheap at a junkyard. Good luck
