You need the tool to remoce the fuel lines, I would take the distributor out because it's alot easier to get the intake out. I agree with 93CobraR, defintely pull the distributor. You can swing the AC out of your way and let it lean on the passenger side fender. The fuel line tools are cheap $15 or so. Make sure you keep the shims matched to the rockers when you pull them out so you can put them all back in the same way.
