evilstang is correct. the auto computers have something different in the idle setting due to the torque converter. there is a load on the auto car when in drive and idling, there is no load on a 5 speed car when the clutch is in or in neutral. that is the only difference in the computers as far as I know.

theres so much crap out there, does anyone really know the truth?
