yes fivohpatrol, i thought the same thing, the plate that goes on the bottom is needed.
something is out of line, you will have to check thoroughly, have someone turn the craank bolt on front, carefully, and look underneath at the pp and see if somethings wobbling, or anything that looks like it's not on right, i know you said it is, but sometimes things are'nt looked over enough.
