i learned how to rebuild my t5 with the help of a mm&ff back issue, and a ford shop manual. IT IS NOT EASY!! you are going to need access to a shop with some presses to get some gears off the shafts. i have grenaded a couple t5's so i am not new to the experience (check sigs) as for a good deal on rebuild parts, check with d&d motorsports(i think its motorsports) in wixom michigan. they are very helpful. also, it helps to have a large workbench (CLEAN OF COURSE) covered with newspapers to catch any parts that fly as you tear it down. one final note, have a partswasher handy, and take the tranny down to the local carwash to blast all of the grime off before tearing it apart. just figured i'd pass along advice i learned the hard way!
