Definitelt try the 180 thermostat, and make sure the radiator is not all clogged up. I also run a Special Service fan clutch, and a flow restrictor in the inlet hose to the heater core. No problems unless I sit in Houston traffic on a hot humid day for an extended period of time...then it gets towards about 200 on the Autometer gage. Good luck...
