I say go with the 331. That's actually what I'm planning for right now too. I like the 331 for two reasons. One is because it seems like it would have a longer life than the common 347 and almost as much power. Second is because it seems like everybody and their freakin mother has a 347. It offers the option of being just a tad bit different. And if you eventually decide on a blower for the 331 the extra displacement will help KILL a comparable blown 302.
