![]() I'm thinking of getting aluminum Motorsport valve covers.....I know they look alot nicer than the stock ones, but is there any performance benefit (lighter etc)??? Also, what size gaskets w/ that?

![]() The aluminum valve covers are supposed to be more rigid than the stamped steel ones. This translates to less leaks and a stronger cover. Id get load spreaders for the valve cover bolts when you do this cause you dont want to overtighten them and break them. (stupid broken valve cover) But i like them because they look good and you can polish them up somethin fierce.

![]() Most EFI 5.0's came with cast aluminum covers my 90 has em. The motorsport ones of course look much nicer. No real performance upgrade unless on a 94 or 95 with stamped covers. I also belive the motorsport covers are stock height.
