![]() i am currently putting a new rebuilt 5.0 in a original 86lx 4cyl car. My question is what original 5.0 smog equipment can i get rid of including (sensors,pump,valves,etc) i dont have to pass emissions.
------------------ Bryan Thompson 1986 Lx Coupe 1992 5.0 engine, 2031 cam,trickflow intake, 24lbs injectors, 75mm promass air, crane 1.7 roller rockers, mac- equal headers, off-road hpipe, cat back exhaust, 3.55's w/disk, hurst shifter, t-5, NOS sportsman fogger setup w/8 wet foggers in a 1" spacer between upper and lower. |

![]() You could get rid of your smog pump if you don't have cats, your EGR valve and your evaporative canister. Don't remove any sensors unless they are directly related to those systems. I think those things are pretty much connected to the things that will be missing anyway.
