4.6 starter on a 5.0?????

Ive had a problem going through starters for different reasons but i was told the 4.6 starter is really small and powerful and could be used on my c-4 behind the 5.0. Has anyone done this? I have been using a gear reduction starter off a 94 f150 5.0 which is alot smaller than the stocker starter and allows for more header clearance and is much easier to put in and take out. The 4.6 starter is supposed to be even smaller and more powerful. Any info would be appreciated because my starter just went again and i need to put a new one on tomorrow and was thinking of trying this.
