Will the ls1 take me?

O.K. my friend bought a 98 camaro with the ls1 and a auto. The first thing that he sad was "I can't wait to kick your stangs a$$". Now I can handle loosing a race thats no big deal, it's just that he knows nothing about cars. He did not even know what a ls1 was for the love of god. I once told him that a Geo storm had a single cilinder motor and he bought it. I need to crush his ego and make him think he lost to a stock mustang.

Now my daily driver is a stock 93lx with a aod. I have a set of ported windsor jr. heads a systemax II intake and a set of shorty headers that I am not using. I was thinking that if I slap that stuff on with a nice little cam I should keep up with him or win. I know the intake would be overkill for my car, but I have it and I don't want to spend money on the 93 for speed.
